Tips for moving houseplants from outdoors to indoorsMany gardeners keep their houseplants outside during the summer and move them inside for the winter. Typically this is a good strategy but with moving plants in during the winter the plants. Men Nike Free Run 2 Black White Green,WASHINGTON As we consider the return of the House of Clinton, we may be witnessing the start of the House of Obama. According to a survey in November, first lady Michelle Obama would beat incumbent Republican Mark Kirk, 51 per cent to 40 per cent, in a hypothetical matchup for senator from Illinois in 2016. The first lady has an approval rating of 60 per cent in the state. Not that Kirk has anything to worry about. When asked last spring if she would ever run for president, Obama laughed and said, "Absolutely not." One reason might be to avoid stupid reporter tricks. Another might be that she has shown no disposition toward the dark arts other than to support reluctantly at first, as she worried aloud about exposing her young daughters to Washington her husband chosen profession. True, Obama is a lawyer like her Democratic predecessor in the White House, and like Hillary Clinton she doesn stay home and bake cookies. She gave a rip snorting speech at the Democratic convention in September. But she has stuck to traditional first lady activities. No health care initiatives or cabinet meetings for her. She is planting a garden, slimming down children and helping military families. The very question, however, shows just how dynastic politics have become. The British royal family, and the breathless response to the pregnancy of Kate Middleton, has nothing on Americans. We talk about the pernicious influence of money in politics. But when it comes to pre emptively shutting out the competition, a family name may be more valuable than money. Who is going to take a good look at Joe Schmoe from Delaware when state Attorney General Beau Biden decides to run for the Senate? We survived only one session without a Kennedy in Congress: Joe Kennedy III, the grandson of Robert F. Kennedy and the son of former Representative Joe Kennedy II, will take office in January. Yet polls find the public largely indifferent to having the same family pass high office from one to another. If former Florida governor Jeb Bush weren so sensible, and had his brother George W. not been such an extraordinarily bad president, Jeb would probably have run in 2008. Obama (Barack) may be the only break we get from this dynastic do si do. In all likelihood, there is a Clinton or a Bush on the horizon. The 2016 campaign is frozen until Hillary announces her intentions, and Jeb lock on everyone attention is almost as strong. There are lots of governors and senators who should be on the short list for the presidency in 2016, but I afraid I can quite remember their names right now. We used to sons and brothers entering politics more than wives. Hillary would be the first American to follow in the shoes of Imelda Marcos. And Jeb would make history as well, the second of two sons and the first brother to be elected president. The Bushes would be the first family to have three presidents. Is all this evidence of a lack of imagination? Or the strength of good branding, in politics as elsewhere? Chelsea Clinton grew up in the White House, a searing experience that she seems to be over. She shunned public life at first, but she has gradually emerged as a TV reporter and a board member of her father foundation and of the Clinton Global Initiative. She married the son of two former members of Congress. And we are already talking about the fourth generation. On the Republican side, there George P. and great grandson of Prescott Bush, the senator from Connecticut who started this political dynasty in the 1950s. George P. grew up in Florida but went to college in Texas, where he has just filed papers to run for state office. Hillary Clinton was unthinkable as a senator until the Monica Lewinsky scandal: She was generally an unpopular first lady until she stood by her man. As she basked in the thanks of a nation grateful for getting it through impeachment, her popularity shot up, and she left the White House a year early to run for senator from New York, a state she only visited as a tourist. Hillary may be the only woman in history to be rewarded for a sexual favour she did not dispense. Of course, the Obama White House is not the Clinton White House, and Michelle Obama is not a likely candidate for office. Hillary Clinton is, however, and everything that helped her 12 years ago could hurt her four years from now. As a former senator and secretary of state, she is a global figure in her own right. No more reflected power, or pity, for her. Now Secretary Clinton will go back to the future, with her international life disappearing and her domestic one returning as she moves to be home alone with Bill. There will be no more throwing back shots with reporters, dancing till the wee hours, letting herself go because she a rock star. She will be in competition for attention with, and once again responsible for, the actions of her husband as he will be with her. The Big Dog brought her to the dance. She may not be able to live with him, but she can win without him. That the downside of a dynasty: As quickly as it can build you up, it can just as easily bring you down.

This year's 10k run will take place on Saturday, April 27 at 1pm with all the proceeds again in aid of Cancer Care West. Last year's race was an overwhelming success with 300 participants taking part in the unique event. The race is the brainchild of Donal O'Shea, the former Manager on Clare Island who successfully recovered from an operation for colorectal cancer in Galway in 2011. During his treatment he stayed in the Inis Aoibhinn,a residential building on the campus of UCHG and organised the charity event to raise money for the building. "I stayed in Inis Aoibhinn during the course of my treatment in 2011 for free and it was like staying in a five star hotel. It is a free residence to people who come from Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal, who are receiving pre operative treatment and it is free to the patients. It is part financed by the HSE and voluntary donations. I was so delighted with Inis Aoibhinn, that I organised a 10K run walk on Clare Island on February 2012 and we raised 10,500 for Cancer Care West who run the Inis Aoibhinn," he said. This year's race was moved to April to allow for better weather conditions and the entry fee of 38 includes the return boat trip to the island. Donal explained they hope to attract 350 people to the island to take part in the walk/run and hope to raise in excess of 10,000. He said the competitors enjoyed the route of the course as it meandered around the island and added that the event was unique with households on the island providing the food for all the competitors. Men Nike Free Run 2 Black White Green Only three members of the Green Wave will play both ways this season, a stark contrast to the past three years when the undermanned and overmatched team from Elgin was forced to play its top athletes on both sides of the line and on special teams in an attempt to maintain a level of respectability. It's been three years since Mike Rolando took over for departed coach Rich Sanders on short notice shortly before fall practice was slated to begin in 2005. Since then St. Edward has gone 1 26 because a rash of transfers left the cupboard virtually bare of upperclassmen for two years. The Green Wave roster is populated only by upperclassmen in 2008. No longer will freshmen and sophomores start at key positions out of necessity. A contingent of 16 juniors and 15 seniors comprise the current roster. "That's more seniors than we've had the last three seasons combined," Rolando said. "You might see something new this year, which would be our players with water bottles in their hands between plays and maybe being coached between plays. That's just a luxury we haven't had because they could never come off the field." The three players going both ways will be senior fullback/linebacker Moises Quiroga (5 foot 11, 235 pounds), an all Suburban Catholic selection last year, senior tailback/free safety Jimmy Mathisen (5 8, 185) and junior guard/defensive tackle Shane Finnane (6 0, 240). Finnane is getting mail from Division I programs after turning in a 40 yard dash time of 4.8 seconds at a Nike summer combine and can bench 225 pounds 24 times. Eight members of this senior class have played varsity football for Rolando since their freshman year because that's what the program needed to survive the lean times. Senior tight end Ryan Eigenhauser (6 1, 200) remembers what it was like to play on the offensive line as an undersized freshman. "That was the problem right there a freshman on the offensive line. Not good," Eigenhauser said. "It's a major improvement to actually have football players and athletes in there blocking now. We've come so far. We look like a football team. We have good numbers at every level and we're going to start winning games. That's what my class is here to do, to say we got the program back up and running." Senior Cory Diaz (6 1, 180) moves from receiver to quarterback. The Green Wave intend to run the ball far more than the intend to throw it, but Rolando said Diaz's passing ability "looks way better than anyone predicted it might be." The offensive line jumped from an average of 185 pounds per man to 250 pounds, largely due to the return of 6 foot 5, 305 pound left tackle Joe Juns, who sat out his junior season with knee pain. The agile big man and his experienced line mates will make holes for Quiroga, who gained 602 yards on 128 carries last season (4.8 avg.), and for Mathisen, who ran for 484 yards and 5 touchdowns on 82 carries before his season was cut short due to a MCL injury. Quiroga leads the defense from his middle linebacker spot, flanked by junior outside linebacker Jordan Torres (6 1, 210) on one side and junior Nathan Gaige (5 10, 190) and Price Davis (6 0, 170) on the other. Each has two years of varsity experience. Senior Josh Scholly (5 10, 165) has been the Wave's cover cornerback for two seasons. He's one more example of a tough player who stuck through the tough times and is ready to reap the rewards as the program attempts to turn the corner. "Our goal was not to have any underclassmen on the varsity and we're there," said Rolando, who coached the school's softball team to a Class 2A supersectional appearance this past spring. "I don't think these players feel like we're a losing program. They have some confidence and they have their priorities straight. They need one game right now. Win one game, then on Saturday morning we'll start talking about the next one."
